Crazyieman I agree with you - arguments and debates/discussions are different. Debates are a great way to exchange and build on your current ideas. The only reason my posts were saying the same thing over and over was that sometimes you have to be redundant to get people to see what you're saying instead of just focusing on one part they find bad so they can argue with you - which was PAINFULLY obvious in this thread. I had to repeat myself because there were many things I said in my posts, yet the people that replied to me only focused on one part of what I was saying.

Oh, and Marty, a tip for the future: If you want people to value (and in this case even look at) your opinion, you should try to use spell check and puncuation

Value my opinion if you want I could care less but the truth is the truth.

 

Everything was spelled correctly in his post, I even cut and pasted it into word to confirm. Its not people are going to take every post they make and cut and paste it into work to check the spelling. This isn't an academic paper, its an internet forum so the spelling/grammer rules are a little more lax. Marty's post wasn't even close bieng unintelligable.

 

I agree with yoshi however I also agree with mustang. I share the love as much as I can! =) To add to the fire, I read somewhere that Bank of America is now issuing credit cards to illegal Aliens. They do not need SS#'s to establish a card either. A good point was made in the article I read about this topic. It was something to the effect of "if these people are illegally here in the USwhy are we condoning their living here by giving them credit"? This statement was not verbatim but to the same effect. Its kinda silly that we are promoting to stay here illegally (or so it seems to me). I am all about equal rights and humanity and all that good stuff.I do not agree with supporting people that break our laws though. HeckI even have a leg to stand on; my parents are both foreigners. They came to this country legally and both became legal citizens.They have worked their butts off for all they have (and for being constantly thought of as lesser individuals because they are foreigners they have defied many peoples perceptions and attitudes).

These are the same people who are for the death penalty, against abortion, think it was OK to invade Iraq, think we should send back all illegal immigrants, and think Bush is our best president. There are plenty of knowledgable people on here, with their own mindset about "the issues." Whether or not their views are the same as yours, certainly doesn't make them wrong.

Gene, I'm so glad there's someone else to dislike in this thread XD Though, I find it funny you generalized so harshly. I believe in the death penalty, I also believe in pro-choice. I'm fine with Bush being our president (I'm liberal, but there must be enough people wanting him in that he got elected twice. Most liberals like to forget that EVERYONE wanted to go to war after 9/11 and that things would only get worse if we hadn't. He makes mistakes, but let's see you do better when the fate of millions of people are in your hands). I think something should be done with the issue of imigrants, yet I do realize sending them ALL back would destroy our economy. Ignorance is not accepting other people, which although most liberals preach understanding and unity, most of them (from what I've seen) are the quickest to judge and hate people.
