Come back and say something when that EVO in your sig breaks the 200K mile range and has had no problems

yeah right, he beats the hell out of that evo. its not meant to last 200k. nothing will last if you beat on it hard enough. im betting Leviii could bury that caddy in a few days of the rigors he puts his evo through. and i know of a couple of DSMers that could say a thing or two about the 200k thing.

I'm just saying, dont hate on a american car and say anything about reliability when it has that many miles on it. I can assure you I put it through it's fair share of hard driving when I had it for 6 years, it has been across the country count it 3 times. all while the A/C has never stopped working, keeping the quality ride of a caddy, getting around 30mpg on the interstate, and being able to fit 2 12's in the truck and still have room to carry stuff. I bought the car around 7.5 years ago with 105,000 miles on it for $1300 and no work has been done to the car sense and it still starts every time with no problems at all. I was not taking a jab at the EVO but dont take a jab at this one without either owning one or having extensive exp with one.

It has all leather, digital climate control, a gas readout that tells trip mpg, how many miles are left on tank, on the fly mpg, and average mpg for the last 1000 miles. Factory level ride adjuster for the rear meaning no matter how much weight is in the trunk the car will automaticly adjust the it so it is level. Very little minor surface rust in 2 small places. Damn fine automobil for a 21 year old American car IMO.

Also the ability to drop any and I repeat any V8 GM has ever offered in it and being the gas prices the demand for these engine have and will go down meaning cheaper swaps. But hey it's a Caddy it's not about speed it's about smooth nice ride feeling like your in a Lazy-Boy recliner lol

Yep I'm done with em. I have spent the better part of the last 10 years tweaking and pushing imports to the brink of destruction and beyond in some cases. I'm tired of it really, no hate towards any tunners or anything but it is getting to the point that it is not fun anymore for me. I build a car and make it fast and something allways seems to happen to it or in some round about way it affects me in a non posative way anymore. I will return but I am taking a break and doing me a "low low" again. I have my 84 caddy and I am going to pimp it the rest of the way out. Ride low and ride slow for me for a while.
Congratulations! [sm=wootwoot.gif]

If I was tired of things breaking I would never buy an Evo. Not in a million years. Also, that is true what Sacs said, the caddy couldnt go through a week of what the Evo goes through and all the evo has needed is tires, lots and lots of gas, and brakes.
