and i C5 vett, like 02 im pretty sure is around the same price as a s2k. i know many people who got C5's for 10k, but they had some miles to them. however, with that bombprof chevy block, thats still not to much of a problem if it wasnt treated to badly

A Elise will own a S2000 in curves and in a straight line and you can get a slightly used one in the mid to lower $30k area

Yeah, but you can hardly call it a car...

Oh, I'm with you there, but the comparison just doesn't quite fly for me...

I guess you could say that but in the whole outlook of things both cars are ment to be on a road course.

True, but the S2000 is classified as a "roadster," not a "sports coupe" or whatever. I mean, if you outfitted them similarly in terms of creature comforts, suspension, etc, I think it would balance out pretty well. The S2000 is pretty chunky for its size (right around 2,850, I believe), so if you stripped it down to a similar trim/comfort level and gave it a similar track suspension setup, I think it would hold its own pretty well. It probably still wouldn't be able to corner quite as hard, but it would make up for it in a straight line.

Just my thoughts...
