Damn that sux. I'm sure the parents paid for the car. Now they have to live with it.

That is not the point, people no matter what their age should drive in a responsable manner. I was trusted with a 500+hp car when I was 16 and never wrecked it allthough it was for track use only. But throughout my years(25 now) I have for the most part had cars that ran 14 seconds flat in the 1/4 mile or faster and the only wrecks I have gotten in have been others faults and speed was not involved.

I'm guessing it was a WRX/STi that he was driving?

Tis a shame, I know how the friends must feel. 2 of my friends just died in a high speed accident last week, they were doing 125mph in a CRX and hit a tractor trailer.

Needless to say I haven't been taking anyone on "fun runs" since I got my engine in...

It's always sad when this kind of thing happens... a little over a year ago, a friend of mine was late to work.. so what happens? He looses control of his 3000gt at around 100mph and wraps it around a tree... God, do I miss him.

I swear the older I get that more I think they should move the drinking age to 18, and the driving age to 21. That way you get it out of your system before you have keys to a car. Not that drinking was a part of this thing, but you get my point.
