01 civic si (Canada) battery light on
I've replaced the battery because it died (the light was on). now that I replaced it, the light is still on.
When I start the car the light is on and when the car revs up to 3000 rpm, it turns off. anyone know why this is still happening?
was it just the battery or was it something else?
thanks

The charge light may also signify a problem with the alternator circuit/wires, though this is much less common. The 96-00 manual at the link in my signature describes how to troubleshoot the alternator circuit, if you are interested.
By the way, you can purchase a replacement alternator with a lifetime warranty from AutoZone for about $100. That's the total cost if you can install it yourself.
