Default 02 Civic LX Starting problem

Civic died. It will nbot turn, looks like battery is dead. But jump starting it, it still will not turn....gives you a several click..click...click and then dies.

If it is the Battery, then jump starting it would work, right?

Could it be the starter contacts? Or worst case, the starter is grounded....

Right now, no juice in the battery. Before I go and buy a new battery, I need some advise....

Could it be the Alternator?

Thanks for your help.

Going by this, I would say it's either a bad starter solenoid or a faulty ground someplace.

First thing I'd go for is take the battery to a parts store and have them load test. Oreilly or advance/checker/discount auto parts have better testers thatn autozone.

sometimes if the battery is VERY dead a jump wont do it.

If you cant get it tested just throw a new battery in and if it isnt that then return it.
