Default 03 Civic Key wont push down in the igniton

I have a 03 civic and the day after snowing, I put the key into the ignition and it only went in halfway. I tried pushing it down more but it wont go further down as it's just stuck. One guy told me it could be ice blocking the inside of the lock cylinder since it happened right after a snow day. He advised me to use rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer in the igniton lock cylinder and try using that to melt the possible ice. I've tried and even waited a day and there is no luck. My key can't get into my car fully and so I cant even start it. Please help, thank you

I just had the same issue, then tried my spare key which is hardly used (not worn) and it wiggled in. I think the tumblers must be getting worn or it maybe just the main key is worn but only 170k. I’ll take it out and see if it goes back in once I get the car home from work.
