Default 09 Civic DX 5 speed with two coil burnouts within less than 4 months

So I am feeling that my parents are getting screwed over here so I'm trying to get a second opinion. There have been no problems with this car up until about 7 months ago when my dad got in a pretty major accident (deer on the interstate) major repairs were done, including serious work done to the engine. Roughly 3.5 months later, on the way back from a trip, the engine began to shudder, refused to accelerate, and seemed close to stalling while idling. The out-of-town Honda dealership it was taken to said that the number 1 coil had burnt out and claimed that it had nothing to do with the recent accident. They shelled out around $250 to get that fixed, and this past weekend, 3.5 months after the first coil went out, the same problem happened while I was driving the car. This time the dealership we normally take it to for servicing says that it is the number two coil that has burnt out, and also claim that it had nothing to do with the recent accident. They say that it is extremely rare for even one coil to burn out this early, but it is still our responsibility to cover the cost of $150ish to have the second coil replaced. Any insight into what the actual problem is would be greatly appreciated. Or any advice on how to convince the dealership that this is obviously related to the accident would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There's really no way that hitting a deer can cause coils to burn out later. It's more likely that the 4 coils originally installed at the factory were part of a bad batch. Sometimes Honda will give the customer a "goodwill adjustment" and cover the cost to replace parts like that though they are technically out of warranty.
