1984 Honda Civic Engine Problem
I have a 84 Honda Civic. When i start the car it'll start but die within three seconds, so i have to give it gas to keep the RPMs up. After ten minutes of doing this the engine will finally idle but it idles at around 2200 RPMs. I have changed the plugs, wires, and oil. I have no idea what could cause this. Any help is highly appreciated.

If it won't run slow at all, could be vacuum leak or clogged idle jets in the carbuerator. Hopefully you don't have the crazy feedback carb system. Sounds like someone also then turned the idle speed screw way up trying to compensate.
