Default 1990 civic blower fan

How can I replace the blower fan on a 1990 honda civic wagon. Do I need to take entire casing out. I have glove box out and the three screws loose on the motor but there is not enough clearance to remove motor with fan attached.

Try taking down the carpet and maybe remove the ECU cover too if it's in the way. It will not just drop out without disassembling something else. I forced mine and ended up cracking the dash, this is not recommended.

It should be noted that removing the evaporator requires recovering the refrigerant in order to disconnect the refrigerant lines at the firewall. The A/C system will need to be evacuated and recharged upon reassembly.

If the car does not have A/C then you won't have an evaporator box, just the simple heater duct as shown in 3-a.

Default blower fan

Thanks for the help. This looks like it might be a project over my head if I have to work with the refrig lines. I did not think this would have been that difficult.
