Unhappy 1993 civic HELP!!!

I just bought a 4 door 1993 civic with 143'000 miles. It was running great no issues....Saturday I left my lights on and drained my battary, I got it jumped but it kept dying soo I replaced the battery...I also changed the oil, the car started right up but when I went to back out of my driveway the car died it started right back up so I reved the engine a few times and thick white smoke came out of my muffler...I am at a loss any ideas what it might be??

if it was pure white, thats water in the cylinder. i.e. blown headgasket. if it had a blue tint, then thats burning oil which could be any number of things. Check you oil. If the oil not looks kinna milky, that means there water in it, i.e headgasket. also, with the engine cold, open the radiator cap and start the engine, if it bubbles continuously, then thats also the head gasket, same if there is oil in the coolant.
