1995 Civic won't start in the rain.
Hi,
I'm new here and know next to nothing about Civics. I'm fairly competent with cars but my experienceis limited to 1960s and 1970s European cars.
With that in mind, a friend has a 1995 Civic that doesn't start in the rain or in the snow. It doesn't get spark. My theory is that moisture is getting into the distributor and preventing it from starting. Starts right up and runs fine when it's not wet outside.
Has anybody here experienced anything similar and if so, how did you fix it?
Thanks in advance.

Next suspect the spark wires. You could test with the car running on a dry day and then spritz water on various parts and see what kills it.
There are some rather lousy third-party caps and wires out there. Try to use genuine Honda ones if you can get them easily.
