2000 Civic Ex Smoke

2000 Civic Ex Smoke
My 2000 Civic when shifting has a puff a white smoke. I cannot see it in my mirror but my wife was telling me about it as she was driving behind me yesterday. Oil has been changed, plugs has been changed? Anyone else have any insight? I am not very mechanically inclined so i am not able to pinpoint this problem myself.

OK. Here goes...bought granddaughter 1988 civic w/ 1.5. Had bad exhaust valve-burnt however no smoke
