The AC compressor went on my civic and after asking around I've been told I could have the compressor and belt removed and just drive it without air-conditioning. My question is this: My battery ran down after driving it a few times after the compressor blew. What's the connection and does this mean that the compressor belt also runs other components? A garage quoted me $1200 to have the whole thing fixed!! At least this way I can drive it for 2 or 3 weeks until I have the money for the repair. Thanks in advance.
