I just installed a factory spoiler on my 2001 civic coupe. The wing is on fine, and the brake light wires are come through the right hole in my trunk. I have no idea where/how to setup these 2 wires so they work with the brake light. The instructions are very vague and say to splice the 3rd brakelight wire (I don't know where that is) and to hook up the light that way.

Any help would be much appreciated.

the 3rd brake light is the brake light behind the back window
just open the truck and locate the wires going to it and splice them and attach your new spoiler wires to it.

The polarity is likely going to be important. Hook up the wires temporarily and step on the brake. If the spoiler doesn't light up, reverse the two wires. If the spoiler has red and black wires, connect the black one to the grounded wire on the car (probably also black).
