i saw a car today. same make as mine., but the 3rd brakelight lite up and said "Civic" i thought that was pretty cool and was just wondering on how to add that little feature.

 

its realy easy... well the civic part BUT removing the 3rd brake from the back deck might be the tuffest part

but once ya got it pulled outta the car you can ssimply tape out the CIVIC how ever you want it... then just spray over some black paint about 2-3 layers should be enough to blacken it out... but JUST TO BE SURE... lets say 4-5layers.... you want it to be pleanty dark.... then after the paint is GOOD AND TRY use like a razor blade to trace around your taped out area and then pull the tape off and simply reinstal...

 

or you could make a sticker the same size of your brake light, cut out what you want, and stick it to the light, It might not be permanent, but thats a good thing. And theres no removing/tinkering involved. Just make a custom sticker.

 

Ive seen those covers on Ebay you just pop it on top of your 3rd brake light and remove it when ever you want

 

well are we talking about the rear spoiler 3rd brake light or the rear deck 3rd brake light? if the spoiler ya that sticker is your easiest way.... but if your talking about the one on the rear deck is alittle more involved to pull it to do it..

 

yeah my 3rd brakelight is pressed up against my rear window. ill have to take out the rear panel

 

i have one of those, its sweet! it goes on my spoiler light, and its just a sticker, but if you get one, make sure its not cold when you put it on or it will crease and bubble its gay haha but i reallly like it

 

oohh, I assumed you meant like on a hatchback. That's a completely different story. hehehe... take out the panel, then make a sticker!!! lol
