2002 EX temp gauge runs hot...
I have a 2002 civic ex that seems to be overheating when idle or accelerating up hills. The radiator was just replaced. When the temp gauge reads hot, there is no steam or smoke from under the hood, but the AC blows warmer air than normal when the temp rises or runs hot. I'm thinking it is a thermostat issue. Any suggestions?

If you haven't had the thermostat changed in a long time or ever then that's probably your problem. The thermostat might be so stiff that it is not letting coolent flow through. the thermostat is super easy to replace so pull it out and check to see how stiff it is. When is the last time you had the water pump replaced? (Water pump is something to consider as well)

As far as the AC sounds like you just need to recharge the refrigerant. Back in the day that was quite a price but now days you can buy the AC charging tanks at autozone, advanced auto parts..... Well pretty much anywhere and that is an easy thing to do as well.
