2004 Civic RPM Gauge Not Working

2004 Honda Civic Si 1.7 liter Manual Trans. The RPM gauge sits at 0 RPM. I did the test on the dash and all instruments function properly including the RPM gauge working. The car still runs great, no miss in the firing of the engine, just cannot get any RPM. Any suggestions where to look for the issue?
