2004 Honda Civic Ignition Immobilizer
As you may be able to tell from the name "Wreck-A-Mendables", we are an automotive rebuilding body shop. Recently we have aquired a 2004 Honda Civic DX. The Civic was bought on-line in Thaxton, Virginia. When the vehicle arrived in Indiana, we tried to start it. We have found out that there is a Vehicle Immobilizing system on this Honda. Now, granted, the Honda was hit in the rear; not at all affecting the starting of the vehicle. Does anyone know what could be the problem with this Honda? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Get withyour local Honda dealer parts dept, and give them the VIN# to the vehicle. They can make you a replacement key (immobilizer one) costs about $22. This should resolve the issue for you.
