Default factory immobilizer any good?

I just got an '01 LX coupe with a Viper alarm. Is the factory immobilizer that comes standard a good deterrent? If not, I guess I can always bring my 2 Rotties around to the front of the house at night. I'm not too concerned about a tow truck pulling it away as it's right outside my window, but if there's an easy way to bypass that immobilizer then I'll probably drag my dogs out front every night just in case.

You can't bypass the immobiliser or start the car without the programmed keys. The only way of getting the car started is by replacing the ecu and ignition barrel from a donor car, or, in a honda main dealer

I would be more concerned that someone might steal your beautiful dogs.

Oh, they would still be enclosed. I'm hoping the racket from bypassing the immobilizer would wake either me or the dogs. I figure I'll pick up an Autolock, too, just to be safe. THAT should make plenty of racket coming off.
