Default 2005 Civic DX - Shifting Is Delayed

So bear with huggybear here as he is not mechanically inclined...

The past 2-3 days I have noticed when driving (05 Civic DX) that when my car shifts (automatic transmission) from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th it delays shifting for about 2-3 seconds. During the delay, the car and acceleration pedal vibrate slightly. It does not happen everytime. It seems to occur when the car is cold. Even today when the car was cold, it shifted normally without a delay.

I checked the transmission fluid immediately after driving the car today and it was red with the level being within the correct level on the dipstick.

More background information as well:
About 3 weeks ago the camshaft sensor went bad. I had it replaced, along with the spark plugs, timing belt/water pump, and serpentine belt. This was done in anticipation that it would last me another 100k miles.
Ever since I had this done, I noticed the car shifts at a higher rpm. Being the DX model, there is no tachometer, so I have no idea at what rpm it is actually shifting at. I just noticed it shifts higher than before. I mentioned this just to see if this would possibly be the cause.

Any ideas on what could be causing this problem?

Last note, I know the 7th generation civics are known for their poor transmissions. My car has a little over 90k miles just as an FYI.

Default 98 Civic delayed shifting between 2nd and 3rd

What's up, Forum?
I just bought a 98 automatic civic with 153K miles on it. Seems to me that sometimes it takes too long to go into 3rd gear from second. When it does drop, it does so at about 3000 RPMs. Is that too high? At other times it drops into 3rd at 2500-2700 RPMS. Any suggestions or ideas on what this might be or is it even an issue with the transmission?
Thanks for all of your input.
