Ok so when i engage the clutch in 1st gear about half the time i get like a winding sound that almost makes me think of what like old cars sounds like when you first turn them on after it rained, the winding sound the belt mad... but softer...
and it also sounds like something is shaking/rattling in that area as well.
when i don't put it in gear though, it doesnt' make any of the sounds, only when the car actually starts moving a lil bit, then speed picks up and it sounds like its' gone, and the severity of the sound is also different everytime, form vague, to very prominent....
any body have this happen to thiers so far, or have a clue as to what it is?

 

On earlier model Civics (e.g., my '97 Civic), the exhaust heat shield could become loose and make noise (squeak/rattle) under similar conditions that you describe. You might want to check into this possibility.

well i am going to get it on lifts on sat... but come monday if i haven't figured it out, back to honda..
and we don't all race, i like my 31 mpg highway...( ok maybe a lil race here and there....125mph and counting)

 

HAHA, how could you not rage the **** out of that car, an 07 Si ? Wow, if I just got that car I'd be ripping the crap out of it. But I'm just lame like that I suppose. You prob did something you can't think of, something so minor that you wouldn't expect to cause this. Get back with the answer as soon as possible.

 

im hoping it's something so small that i can fix it no problem ( like on my old 03 se-r spec v) cai had been causing a rattle under the hood cuz the bolt that held it on the the chasis had completly ripped off, so under throttle, it would chake enought to bang the bolt back and forth on the car, but by then the car was at least 80000 miles, i only have like 3 on the si.... so ima cross my fingers, i always have back luck with cars.
