2010 EX Sedan automatic shifter loose
So...Last night, the shifter in my car went all "loose." I'm not sure of a better single word to describe it - it shifts into gear just fine, but the slightest bump of my arm on the shifter can knock it out of Drive into neutral or third. There is still a lockout keeping it from being bumped into reverse without the button being pulled, though.
I just had the car in the dealership for normal service, but they could not find the issue in the stick itself, so we've had to schedule a service diagnostic which can't be squeezed in until Monday. In the meantime, I though I'd ask here what I can expect to be a likely cause, and how much it's likely gonna cost to fix - my car has a lifetime powertrain warranty but I get the feeling an issue with just the shifter won't be covered by that.
I'll provide any further details anyone thinks might help, so just ask.
