I'm on the fence on whether or not I should buy this 99 civic Si.(CDN) The only thing I notice is that to shift is somewhat stiff. What could be the cause of this, and should I look out for anything major such as transmission problems in the future?

poly urethane bushings on the shifter would make the shifter stiff. manual that is.... not a automatic.LOL
if you want a looser shifter than get some OEM rubber shifter bushings. there is 2 one on the solid rod mount on the tranny, and one under the car right behind the shifter. well at least on a SOHC but they should be the same i think....

or if its to hard to throw the shifter then it might help to add a weighted shifter handle.
