91 Civic 4 speed whining in 4th
The more gas I give it, the louder it gets. It's kind of a not-so-high pitched whine and only happens in 4th gear.
I tried changing the fluid just for kicks, but it's still doing it.
Is this something I should worry about? Do I need to start looking for a replacement to have ready?

The information in the picture pertains to the automatic transmission (AT) of 92-95 Civics. I assumed your problem was speed related gear whine. The pictures in my next two posts suggest the potentially faulty AT components. Hope this helps.

(It seems that your AT is on the way out. To save money, you should consider getting a used AT from a salvage yard.)

With a manual it's probably just a bearing inside the transmission. You can open it up and replace one or more of the bearings inside, not very expensive. If you keep driving with a bad bearing, eventually the shaft will snap and then you're best off replacing the entire transmission.
Since you're taking the tranny out of the car anyway it might make sense to swap to a used 5-speed. You may need to change the ECU to match too.
