92 VX hatch motor issue
Ok, i just picked up a 92 VX hatch with it's stock D15Z1 Vtec-E motor. Now it runs good, but after the motor warms up, if i'm driving and keep a idle pace, the motor starts sputtering?? Spitting, and loseing power. If I push back on the gas it goes fine again, until at a idle pace. And also stops if I let go of the gas. Does anyone know what the problem might be? I bought it as a daily driver, so that kinda makes it a pain... Any help is appreciated.

Try cleaning the EACV (IACV) with some carburetor cleaner:

RE: 92 VX hatch motor issue
Well so far I put brand new plugs in it, and put seafoam in the Oil, and the gas to clean the system, and I saw that it's working, but it still does the same thing. I'll try cleaning that part to see if it helps. Someone mentioned to me last night that it might also be the fuel filter. Any opinions on that? These people dont own honda's, but had a similar problem.

RE: 92 VX hatch motor issue
Run seafoam THROUGH the engine. Pouring in the oil is good, but running it through the engine will help clean out some of the crap in the cylinder head/valves. Its pretty simple, start the engine and getting it to operating temp. Remove a vacuum hose (you can use the one for the fuel pressure regulator) and dip it in a cup filled with seafoam. Don't totally emerse it, you have to control the rate of seafoam going into the engine. Too much and the engine will die. Once you've put it about a third of a can of Seafoam (maybe less), turn off the engine. Come back in 5-10 min and turn the engine on and let it run for a bit. There will be ALOT of smoke. That won't fix you timing problem, but it might help with the idle situation.

Thanks Ronj, and agentofdarkness. The diagram helped a lot, and i'll try that tommorow at my friends shop, and i'll also try that thing with the seafoam, since I still have some left. I need my daily running smooth, or I might sell it...
