93 civic ac problem
I hope someone has had my problem before and can help. I have a 1993 civic LX automatic and I believe 1.5 engine with 140000 miles. I bought this car new in 1993 and has never really gave any trouble until about 5 weeks ago. Release valve on ac compressor blew. I thought I would put a new ac compressor and dryer and see if I could fix it I ended up with a leak so I took it to a garage told them everything I knew ( old compressor blew, I changed dryer and compressor and got a leak, stopped took it to them) They put it on the machine said pressure were too high ( low side approx 75 and high side 300-350) They said it was expansion valve $350. I told them to fix it they called me next day and said it needed a evaporator core total $700. I told them to go ahead. I call the next day and it was the same high pressures and no ac. They said it was my fault because the old compressor had blew metal thru the system. I took the old compressor apart down to reed valves and took it to them in a box to prove there was no damaged parts internally on old compressor.
They decided to change ac condenser and at no charge. Long story short the car has had
3 ac compressors
3 expansion valves
1 condenser
2 dryers
1 evaporator core
There is no change the last time they had it working it was 41 deg coming out of vents but if you reved engine to 2000 rpm high side pressure would go to 390. the car has been at his garage for 4 weeks and they sent it to honda dealer. dealership kept car for 4 days and has no idea. it has been 5 weeks and $900 if someone has any idea what is wrong please let me know.

Sorry but I guess I left the most important part. The ac on this car has not cooled more then 1 hour since they have been working on it. Which has been 5 weeks. If they get it to cool when you start drivng it , it will get worse and worse until you have 75 to 80 deg. coming out of vents and preesures go high. The system has been flushed twice and the mech. told me he has not seen any debri come out either time.
