Default 94 Civic EX Timing Belt

I'm in the process of changing the timing belt but the cam gear doesn't have the word "UP" like all DIY I see? I have the 2 timing mark on each side of the pully put I'm not sure which way is up...?

thanks,

Line up the marks on the sides then take the distributor cap off and note that the rotor points to wire #1 (the plug closest to the timing belt). That is the proper position to use the marks on the sides. If it points to #4, you need to turn the cam 180 degrees.

it might be easier to just pull the #1 spark plug stick a long screw driver into the cylinder and wait until you hit top dead center.. do this while you watch your marks then you'll now which way is up..
