Have a 98 Honda Civic LX 5 speed.. Check engine light is on and rpm's rev up w/loss of power? Did replace the plugs & wires a month ago. The check engine light on was catalytic converter misfire & O2 sensor. Whats the problem?

 

from the way that sounds you i bet that the 02 sensor said bank 1 sensor 2 right? your cat is probably bad and giving your post cat 02 a funny reading causing it to send weird fuel trims to your ECU.. did the cat code say catalyst deficiency? if so i would start with a cat they are pretty cheap.. hard to say without actually seeing it.. don't waste too much money on guessing have it looked at..
