Anyone know if a vtec switch from a 95 b-series civic si will fit my 95 civic d-series ex?

I don't think thats really possible to do. If it is then, you would have to spend a lot of money, trying to fit a B series tranny into a D series tranny.

 

um ya....that was a serious questions.
I got my oil change today and I noticed that my car has been leakng oil EVERYWHERE!
So when I took it to the mechanic he told me that "the vtec switch is the cause of the problem....the switch is busted....and the oil is leaking from the actual vtec solenoid."
Anyway.....I know this guy (friend of a friend) who is selling a vtec solenoid but he said is was from a 95 civic si and he says that it'll fit any gsr....b-series engine!

That said:

I need to know if a vtec solenoid from a 95 civic si (b-series) will fit my 95 civic ex (d-series)?

Anyone have any real answers out there?

ok in the first place they didnt even make b series 95 civic maybe if it was a swapped motor...but the answer to your question is that yes the solenoid is innerchangeable between b and d series motors if your talkingbout the caseing that bolts up to the head.

 

yup it was a swapped motor.

also same guy is selling a dual stage vtec solenoid off of obd2 jdm d15b I forgot which civic it came off of....but will this solenoid fit my d16z6?
