Default 95 civic control arm bushing keeps failing

I have a '95 civic dx with 302,000 miles on it, and it runs fine for the most part, but in the last 15 months or so I've had the control arm bushing replaced 4 times, and now it's bad again, it causes me to go ruin front tires in about two weeks, so it gets rather expensive. I've gone to two places and both said they had never seen this problem even once, so I'm hoping someone out there might be able to help. Thanks in advance.

This may be an obvious comment, but a good place to start, did you preload the bushing before tightening it down? If you dont they go pretty quickly because you end up reverse loading them in the normal control arm position.

I don't know I didn't do it myself I took it to two different repair shops I trust, each of them replaced it twice, so I imagine they did it correctly, but I can't say for sure.

i say replace the control arms next time to see if it's something else that's causing your premature tire wear.

Your bushings should not be failing this fast. Sounds like your alignment/suspension settings are jacked up.

Is it slammed?

I concur, the bushings are not the problem. You've got alignment or suspension issues that is putting unnecessary burden on them and they are failing and so are your tires.
