Default 95 EX a/c belt

This is sort of embarassing...
How does the a/c belt route on a 95 EX? I removed the p/s belt and went to put it around the pulleys, but there is a bracket or support that appears to be a part of the motor moount in the way....tell me this isn't so!
Like I said....sorta embarassing!
Thanks!

i got an 88 - not sure if it is the same.
But THEORY - the compressor is not made to be moved as the alt and power steering are.
so there is idler pulley for the ac compressor belt - the belt goes around the crackshaft pulley and around the idler pulley (which is adjustable of course so you can tighten it) and around the compressor.
someone correct me if i am wrong.

The compressor has it's own belt and an idler that appears to be adjustable.
I had to take the p/s belt off to get to the next pulley down. Probelem is there is a frame or engine mount component in the way, so you can't put the belt on.
I'm going to look at it more closely today....maybe I'm making it too complicated!
Thanks for the reply.

I don't know a lot about cars as I just got my first car last week (97 Civic EX). Well my friend and I (more like JUST my friend) changed the timing belt, water pump and three accessory belts (PS, AC, Alt). Anyways, the A/C belt was a bitch on it. He tried to remove one motor mount to the front right of the engine. This ended badly as one of the two bolts broke and is stripped now. Then he took off what seemed to be a mount onto the front bottom portion of the engine (this had 8 or so bolts so it was our second choice) ...right next to the compressor. I am not sure if the compressor is mounted to this. Anyways this was how he got the old belt off and the new one on. It was a bitch so if you are having a hard time I wouldn't be surprised. The compressor kept getting in his way when we tried to get the damn mount or whatever it was back on. I hope this helped. Anyways I suggest trying to remove the mount to the front right of the engine as it is only 2 bolts.

it is pretty easy to do..........

once you loosen up the idler pulley center bolt (14 mm head ),, loosen uo the a/c adjustment bolt 10mm .. then you need to re,ove the 2 14 mm bolts from the lower motor mount, pry down on the mount with a big scrrewdriver and slip the a/c belt through ,, the a/c belt is routed that way,, if you do not remove those bolts you cannot get the belt out ..

called idler pulley.
loosen the center bolt - just loosen.
then there is a 10 mm bolt and you will see standing over the top of it and looking down.
need a long extension. put 10 mm on it and turn counterclockwise to loosen the pulley. put belt on and tighten the 10 mm and then tighten the center bolt.
