96 civic Si Canada
i have 5 speed 96 civic SI (canadian), I noticed yesterday the windshield washer fuild wasn't coming through when I hit the lever. the wipers still work though.
I checked the fuse, (wipers still work), not the problem.
I even tried to hear if the motor was trying to pump the fluid through the nozzles, and I couldn't hear anything.
I think the motor could be gone!!! 1st off, where is the motor? how do i test it?
thanks for you help
Miguel

well if the ek is anything like the eg, the motor is on the reservoir which is in the front drivers side of the engine bay... look for the refill cap and follow that down to the reservoir haha. the motor should be attached to it.
I think you have to take the front bumper off to work on the motor. Test the switch first to be sure it isn't the switch. Then get access to the motor and put a voltmeter across the two terminals. Pull the lever; if you have 12 volts but the motor doesn't run, it is bad.
chances are good its the pump motor. I havn't done one on a honda yet, but most washer pumps are held into the reservoir by a rubber O-ring.
1) unplug wire harness and hose
2) pull out old motor
3) get soaked in washer fluid while jamming new pump back into the hole
4) curse, then reconnect wire harness and hose
5) refill tank
done!
