When the CEL doesn't come on at all, you have to check that out first. It doesn't have anything to do with the distributor.

...The coil is inside the distributor, but that doesn't seem to be the problem.

its going to be at least a week before i can check the ecu so i might as well make sure all is well in the dizzy if i have the time...

replaced the coil, getting spark now and fuel and its turning but still wont crank. my only guess now is that i have no compression or/and i jumped timing...

so i checked the timing its perfect but the compresion is only 30 psi... i tryed the trick were you put oil in the spark hole to seal off the cylinder and it raised pressure to 200 psi. now i just have to wait for a little of the oil to seep out into the piston rings so it has room for ignition... hope it works
