97' DX CV Joint? Suspension? hard sounds on passenger's side wheel
I have a Civic DX 97 bought it used a year ago. When I bought it the owner told me that the CV axle from the passenger side needed to be replaced and indeed when I tested it I heard all the symptoms: clicking when turning, cracking every time I took a bump and sometimes it clicked when I accelerated. Took it to a service station a they replaced it, it was horribly worn out when I saw it. However all the sounds are still there, I took it back and they re-checked it and told me everything with the CV joint was ok and that the sound could be something related to the suspension. I know that car was involved in a wreck because of a new bumper and new light on that specific site. If it is not the CV joint what that problem could be?? Thanks.
I don't think so. Before repairing the passenger side one I took the car to a general check and they identified only the passenger's side one as "bad", and that was the only thing. And all the noise is coming from the passenger side.
