Default Outer Joint CV Joint question

So I had an upper ball joint break while I was parrallel parking one day, In the process of putting the ball back in the joint I had to rotate the wheel to pop the inner joint back together. Now that I have fixed the ball joint I can not go over 35 with out the car shaking under acceleration. I'm pretty sure this is a CV joint problem, also Do I need to replace the CV joint, or just remove the boot, and find out how it needs to be popped in.

First replace the ball joint! They don't "pop back together"-- when they are worn out to the point of falling apart, they fall apart. And will do it again, maybe at speed next time.

The same thing goes for outer CV joints, they aren't made to come apart in the field. If overstressed to that point, replace the whole axle. You may though have just overextended the inner CV joint, this can be repaired by taking the boot loose and putting all the parts back together inside. Take the axle out of the car and check both joints for looseness. Also check that the axle shaft itself is not bent.

I drove 40 miles on it at about 25mph trying to get it to my garage, think it's destroyed?

replace the ball joint, then test drive the car, is your cv axle boot ripped? does it make popping sounds when you turn while driving? if not then cv axle is good,

Jacked up the wheel and tried rotating it. There is a pop every rotation, also there is no play in the camber or tow. I think when i put the cv joint back in after it was pulled loose I may have popped some things out of place, I guess I'll know when I take it apart tonight.

-Ball joint was replaced on a curb in milwaukee while snowing, the popping and vibration happened on the way to a garage to inspect the rest of the suspension.
