Default 98 civic ex issue

This morning my Honda was running a little rough. Sounded kinda raspy. The check engine light began to flash. Not sure what it could be. I was thinking maybe the cat or 02 sensor?? Any feedback would be great. Thanks.

Start by retrieving trouble codes.

Flashing CELs which do not stay on afterwards from my experience are mis fires. Pull the codes. No one can guess.

Had the code read. P0302, misfire cylinder 2. Changed the plugs, old ones were kinda black but dry. Changed the distributor cap. Wires are less then a year old. Could it be maybe some water got into my fuel? Or a clogged injector?

I guess I should also point out a little history of the car. It has 209000 miles. Last October I had the head replaced, new gasket set, distributor cap and rotor, plugs, wires, timing belt, water pump, ignition coil, thermostat and changed the tranny fluid. At the time timing was right on and compression tested fine. Maybe that will help to narrow down what might be wrong. As I said in the last post I changed a few things last night and it hasn't thrown the CEL light yet.

If the only symptom now is a different sound, it could be an exhaust leak.
