Default 98 civic ex y7 swap

Got a 1998 honda civic ex and it had a d16y8. The motor blew so I replaced with a d16y7 out of a 2000 civic. I got motor in and everything's fine. But when you go to give it gas after 1st gear it won't accelerate. It has a skunk2 pro series intake, skunk2 76mm throttle body, and a 4-2-1 header. I also changed out the ecu for a y7. I'm just needing to know why it falls on it's face when you try to accelerate. It's an automatic also. Thanks for any help.

Have you checked the timing with a light? If the spark timing doesn't come in near the center of the adjustment range, the timing belt is likely off by a tooth, which will really hurt performance.

^ That

lol, 76mm throttle body? jesus christ man that is more than any d16y7 would ever need.

I am deleting your duplicate thread(s). Keep it to one please. MK is very knowledgeable when it comes to these cars. Disregarding a helpful post such as his to make a new thread is almost like a slap in the face. You ask for help, he provides it, and you make a new thread asking the same question. why?
