Default 98 civic lx Stock Alarm going off randomly while driving

So i bought a car for my girl. 98 honda civic, not sure what model it is. I think its a lx cause it has a non vtec motor no sunroof but power windows and door locks. Recently she called me and told me the car randomly sets off the stock alarm while shes driving. The horn goes off randomly for about 5 mins then stops for a few then restarts. She checked the battery and is good. Im not sure if that year civic lx model has the keyless entry so i can buy the remote maybe that will work. Anyone have any idea whats the problem. also shine some light as to if 98 lx models have keyless entry or not? thank you.

It was available for your year. It may have an aftermarket alarm. The keyless entry module sits on top on the stock radio. I heard the keyless remote may not be available from the dealer.

My stock alarm won't even let the car start if the alarm is armed (trying to start it sets off the alarm), so that is really weird that it would do it while driving.

Bet she loves everyone looking at her thinking she stole the car.
