99 Civic WONT START!!!!! HELP!!

Default 99 Civic WONT START!!!!! HELP!!

Help... i have a 99 honda civic and it died on me in the middle of the street. it won't start. it does turn over. the battery is fine. i had wires, rotor, & distibuter from a tune up so i changed them out and it still won't start. i tried to get any error codes from the computer but there were none stored. idid i mention that theres no spark!![:'(]i'm going in the morning to get a coil. so i'm wondering if i've done everything i'm suppost to?? do you think it can also be the ICM??? please help??? thanks in advance!!

my 954dr with a 99 engine just did they same thing and it was the coil.56$

My old explorer did the same thing, a/t and just died on the highway. Replaced the coil and she fired right up. --- If theres no more to your description, then this is probably your culprit. If you have a manual transmission and you experienced it during shifting, check your timing. It may have slipped a tooth. PM Me if you need information on dynamic timing.

Yeah, the coil and ICM are prime suspects.

Thanks for the help guys.... i changed the coil and it still wont start. the ICM is really expensive so i didn't buy it yet. One thing i didn't mention was when the car died the wire#4 was hanging out of the distributer and the port was burnt. any answers...?

Based on this new information, you should carefully inspect all wires and other components in the distributor for signs of electrical shorting.

Otherwise, the picture describes how to troubleshoot the ICM, if you have and know how to use a multimeter.
