ABS not working
i had a close call with a focus earlier and after all the screaching had stopped i realised my abs aint working. has any1 had any problems with it before and where shud i start looking? should my abs light be on all the time? thanks
Exactly what makes you think that the ABS isn't working? The ABS will not engage unless your brakes are locking up. The ABS light should turn on for a sec or two after the car is started but should turn off. If the ABS light is always on, that indicates a problem.
^^Mine used to do that right before it stopped working, In reply to the first question. Its probably just a dodgy sensor so it shuts it down and therefore the light stays on, just get the haynes manual out and bridge the correct terminal in the passenger footwell to determine the fault.

since my tires were screaching i figured they had locked up? and my abs light is on 24/7 so i geuss something is up
