In my opinion, there's not much point in posting in this forum if you are just going to take your car to a mechanic. Therefore, I always assume that the thread-maker may want to try to do the work himself/herself. In addition, it's not rocket science hooking up manifold gauges and reading the pressures, and I already posted the normal pressure readings. If the car is taken to a good mechanic, this is what he will do. You'll just pay a hell of lot more to get the readings. And you won't have learned anything from the process. You'll just have a lighter wallet. My 2 cents.

id say going out and buying the pressure gauges would cost more than me taking it to a mechanic but that may be because my mechanic would charge me a max of $10 to do it for me thats why i posted as i did

I seriously doubt that you could get a trustworthy A/C diagnosis for $10. You can barely buy a good hamburger for $10. If you paid $10 for a diagnosis, I think you should be wary about the advice you'd get. My guess is that the price of a basic, yet adequate, manifold gauge set would be about equal to any diagnosis from a good mechanic. The difference is that you would also own a new nice tool if you took my advice. And you would gain a new skill that you didn't have before. In the long run, you're much better off this way.

unplug the coolant temp sensor at the thermostat box fan should turn on, this will tell you if the computer can see it. Do you have any codes?

One other thing you can check, make sure that the temperature slide switch is working properly. I had the same problem with my Accord. The heater was on so you couldn't feel any cold air.

You can rent tools for free around my area. Autozone, Pep Boys, Kragens, ..... If you want to save some money.
