AC Compressor Replaced - Grinding Noise
Hi Everyone,
I have a 2011 Honda Civic LX with about 80k miles (automatic transmission). It's been a great car. My AC was not always turning on (was not a relay problem). So it was determined that my compressor was shot and needed to be replaced. Well, the AC works great now, however, there seems to be a grinding noise when I first accelerate, however it seems to go away when I get to around 40 mph. The noise was not there before the new compressor went in. The mechanic says they can't seem to find why the noise has appeared and are willing to change out the compressor if it continues. Any thoughts or guesses as to what might be causing this noise would be appreciated. Thank you!
