Hey, just new here and needed some help, I just bought a 1994 Honda Civic Si today, got it home and found out it needs an altenator, If I were to buy one used, do I need an altenator from another 94 Civic Si, or are Honda altenators universal, Thanks for the help

 

92-95 is what you need.

 

It's the same part for Si or DX, LX, etc. All the same in those 92-95 model years. I think that an alternator from later years will also work but not positive about that. Ask your junkyard guy they're usually good at knowing what will interchange.
