Alternator making noise...
I have been hearing a pretty audible clicking noise at idle, and I immediately suspected the valves, but I opened up the hood, and it sounds like the sound is coming from the alternator. Has this happened to anyone before and how would I fix this? I replaced the factory alternator around this time last year when it burnt out. Again, the noise is only heard at idle...not so much if any at the higher RPMs.
Thanks!
Thanks!
First try running with the belt off to be sure the noise is really from the alternator.
The fuel injectors normally make a clicking noise that can be quite noticeable idling with the hood open.
