alternator problems

If these alternators are failing the bench test, they are faulty. And there is nothing that can be wrong with your car that would make it burn out alternators.

You could check to be sure there is battery voltage on the black and yellow wire at the alternator with the key on engine not running. That wire is supplied by the fuse 15 circuit.

George, there is only one way to test this. Get a refund on the alternator and purchase a different brand from a different store. Or purchase a new one from an online honda parts dealer. they should be more reasonably priced than a brick and mortar honda parts. regardless, get a different brand and try it. you should know within a few days of installing it. If the new brand breaks down, then we know there is an additional problem(s).
