Default b18c into 00 civic dx dies with gas

ok i put a 97 b18c into my 00 civic dx, used the dx engine wiring harness and cut and spliced it with the b18c sensors i needed, using a conversion harness to work with the obd2a ecu from the b18c. the motor will fire up and idle (a litttle low but didnt mess with adjusting it yet) but then when you give it gas it will reach about 2000rpm and then die out. i was checking sensors and wires to make sure they were all pluged in and the vacuum line that comes out of the back of the intake manifold for the cruise control i think? (my car doesnt have cruise control) so i covered that with my finger and it reved normal, shut off the car put a nipple on it and started the car and same old thing happened, wont go past 2000rpm without bogging out and dies if i hold the gas.

i started looking online and found a link
http://www.nzintegra.com/typermanifold.html
on one of the last pics it shows a little black cap that has what i can tell from the pic the hose im taking about going to this black cap thing and then to the fuel rail return end hose, do i need this black cap thing on the firewall? oe should i be able to just block off the cruise control outlet from the intake manifold? and have a different problem? thanks a ton, trying to get this car running for autocross on the 13th

if i hold the gas down like half way to like 1500-2000 rpm the idle will go from 1500-3500 rpm while holding constant gas

then i read it could be the map sensor and if you unplug it it would stop so i unpluged the map sensor and yes the check engine light came on and the idle was better at about 750 or so insted of the 500 with the map pluged in. then with gas the car would act normal up to about 4500 rpm

i dont have a fuel pressure gage but i was told that the stock d16y7 pump should work fine...

i also have the knock sensor, vtec, and then iacv wired up. i had to convert the iacv to run with 2 wire so on the ecu plugs i got rid of b15 and moved b6 to b23 useing a 00 civic ecu pinout then pluged in my conversion harness

i pined everything at the plugs that were on the stock harness using this link so the wiring should good and no cel so im assuming i did it correct and just recheck to make sure and it all looks good

started the car up today and it was doing the same thing, it sounded kind of like a vacuum leak but couldnt tell if it was that of the sound of the cheap intake pipe so i took the intake pipe off and i think it was that but couldnt really tell 100% i was then messing with the throttle and reved it up and it died and as soon as it died the intake manifold puffed out a little bit of black smoke... i know this could just be because it died and maybe theres a little buildup in the intake but does that sound like anything linked to my problem or another i should look into...

i know lots of reading but wanted to get all the info out i could and had it in another section and didnt get a reply yet and kinda need help fast, thanks in advance for any input

Default

it turned out to be the tps sensor was no good, changed it with another i had and it worked fine, weird that it didnt throw a code though, and to make sure i disconnected the map to make sure it would throw a code and it did but reset the ecu and changed the tps and all is good
