hi guys, I'm new here just bought my 1st Civic it's a 98 LX Sedan auto 1.6L with 125k on it. Problem is car starts idles at 2k for like 5 sec then bounces from 1k to 2200, when i put it in gear it idles steady at 1200 or so. Keep in mind i just picked this up and have only owned it for a few days.
Things i did so far.
Plugs, cap and rotor, coil, air filter, wires looked new, I also sprayed carb cleaner around the intake to see if it was leaking. I checked all the vacuum hoses i could see. I pulled code P1399 it say ignition/misfire. Just want to know if anyone has any ideas for me before i go buy a Distributor and timing belt..
