Battery Issues?
I bought a 91 Civic Hatchback a few months ago. A couple weeks after buying the car, I had the alternator replaced.
Last week, the battery light was going on periodically, especially in neutral. Over the past couple days, it's been on more or less constantly. I was driving this evening and the radio died, and the clock and headlights got rather dim. I noticed a sudden loss of engine power, and the car eventually died on me (fortunately only half a block from work).
The lights on the dashboard will go on when I turn the key, and the car makes a clicking noise when you hold the key in start.
Any idea what might be wrong with it? The alternator is only two months old, so hopefully it's not that...

Iwould suspect that your alternator is going bad. Once your engine is running the alt should supply enough juice to keep things running. You can take your car to the shop to check out the alt if you don't want to bench test at a part place.
well it might be one or BOTH it could also be the wiring going to the alternator to turn it on to charge....
first if you just replaced the alternator after it went bad then most likely its hurt your battery pretty good already so its not as strong as it should and if it wont hold a good charge then the new alternator could be working its @ss off and could have burned out already.....
so if your alternator has already burned out once i would replace that battery with a new one and right after droping in the new battery have the alternator checked out at any local autozone or any auto place that can check it with it in your car while the motor is running. and make sure the alternator is working properly... if not have it removed and then take it back to autozone or what not and have it tested on there bench test machine. if it FAILS then its gone bad, but if it PASSES then it could be a problem in your wiring....
but i would definatly replace the battery and then work from there..
