I've got a 2006 Honda Civic, and the Gulf Specs, (middle east gulf) has a continuous beeper that goes off above 120 km/hr.

After looking all over for a DIY solution, , I finally asked the honda service tech to dissconnect it again.

In the pastI always got an emfatic NO ! and that it was illegal for them to tinker with it.

I just had my 60,000 KM service done, and asked again, this time they were very accomodation, and low and behold ( and after about $150 / 500 dhs charge) Im driving in silence now.

The down side is , I also have no Seat belt buzzer ( that one I dont mind), lights left on after shutdown reminder, No door ajar buzzer, key in ignition buzzer...its all G-O-N-E, finally all the annoying stuff out of the car.

They told me the buzzer was located deep under the dashboard, apparently you need to pull back the dash to have acess to it, R n R time was billed at 3-4 hrs.

and yet another happy honda driver.....
